Victoria Thompson (L.I.D.T.A)

Principal

 

Stars Academy was set up in 2005 by Principal Victoria Thompson. Victoria has been dancing since the age of 3, starting her training at Hamill Mitchell School of Dance and taking examination with the N.C.D.T.A. she then continued her training with the Tyne Theatre Stage School, taking examinations with I.D.T.A. and LAMDA.  Victoria then began her teacher training with Marron Theatre Arts and now trains with Joanne Kirkland, President of the I.D.T.A.


Victoria is a fully qualified Licentiate teacher with the International Dance Teachers Association (I.D.T.A).

Victoria teaches a wide variety of styles at Stars preparing pupils for examinations, competitions and production shows.

Victoria also is a member of the BDC and works as an adjudicator across the UK. She has had the pleasure of adjudicating South Lincs Dance Festival, Lancashire Dance Festival, Ludans University, Rapt, Urban Cheer, All Star Dance and Vocal Competition, Swan Kenney Festival, East Coast Dance Festival, Penine Stars Festival, Explosive Rhythm Events, Ludans Rose Festival and Starz Dance Festival.

 

Victoria’s previous work includes travelling the UK and around the world as a Dancer, Vocalist and Choreographer for various cruise lines, hotels and production companies. Now, Victoria focuses all of her attention on the Stars pupil’s development and discipline in all aspects of the performing arts.





Kate Hudson




Kate started dancing at Stars Academy at the age of 3.

She continues to take examinations with I.D.T.A. and is working towards her Associate Street Examination.

Kate just achieved 98 Honours in her most recent Street Exam for IDTA and has also been offered a Street Scholarship. 


Kate is very popular with the students, bringing fun and enjoyment to their lessons.
