Stars Academy Dance and Stage School offers classes in all aspects of the performing arts from the age of 2.
Opened in 2005 by Principal Victoria Thompson, the school has grown from a 3 hour stage school on a Saturday to a fully timetabled weekly curriculum.
Following the syllabus of the International Dance Teachers Association (I.D.T.A), classes that we offer are Ballet, Tap, Contemporary Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft, Street, Musical Theatre, Cheer and Acro.
Pupils work all year round on syllabus work to take examinations in their chosen lessons to develop their dance skills and discipline of dance to progress through the grades.
For acting, pupils can also take examinations through the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (L.A.M.D.A).
All examinations are done at Stars Academy and currently have a 100% Pass rate with both exam boards.
Over the last few years Stars Academy has offered the opportunity to pupils to compete in various competitions and are lucky enough to have won at Regional and National Levels and are already planning and preparing for competitions in 2025.
Every year Stars Academy produces its annual showcase. This gives all students in all subjects to showcase their talents and what they have learned throughout the year to their family and friends in a themed production show.
Stars Academy is like a family, very encouraging and incredibly fun. We push pupils at their own pace to help with their progression as not only performers but as individuals too.
